“Inner Banks Discovery” is the weblog of Main Street Realty. We are located in Hertford, North Carolina. The purpose of the “Inner Banks Discovery” weblog is to inform our friends and visitors to North Carolina of “what lies just west” of the beach towns of the Outer Banks. Since discovering the beauty and richness of North Carolina’s coastal plain over twenty years ago, we have had the opportunity to enjoy and invest in the area’s beauty, culture, history, and recreational opportunities. Now it’s our turn to help you discover one of the most unique geographic areas in the country. Stretching from the Virginia state line to the southern port city of Beaufort, the Inner Banks encompass thousands of square miles of large sounds, wide rivers and wooded creeks. The land surrounding these waters offers for your pleasure, a leisurely pace, friendly people, good food, varied recreational activities, a capsule of America’s history/architecture and opportunities to participate in or simply enjoy the visual and performing arts.
